Amid a global pandemic taking over, 2020 became a rough year for many people out there. The pandemic put a stop to live music everywhere, but many artists discovered ways to connect with fans and techniques to put on a great show, without putting others at risk; One example is the pop icon, Melanie Martinez. Melanie was set to launch the most significant world tour of her career at the start of the year, but due to the Coronavirus shutdown, the tour was suspended. On November 30, 2020, Martinez took to Instagram the news that she would be conducting a major global streaming concert titled, "Can't Wait Till I'm Out Of K-12", which would be taking place on December 17, as the last show of her era.

Can't Wait Till I'm Out Of K-12, streamed worldwide in four time zones on December 17th and 18th. The newly curated production showcased Melanie commemorating her album and full-length film "K-12," through a thrilling concert production. The stream began with her viral song Play Date, which originated as a bonus track on the digital edition of Cry Baby and blew up on Tik Tok in April; accumulating more than 300 million streams on Spotify and over 30 million views on the music video. The concert was filled with many hits from K-12 along with several tracks from her current After School EP, such as The Bakery, which was used to close off the show.

Melanie's concert stream gave a spin to the original K-12 tour production by featuring a full band, new costume designs, and incorporating new activities to the performance of each song. From Melanie's vocals to the dancer's choreography fans everywhere are able to experience the intimate performance. Martinez's newfound confidence can be seen and heard throughout the show. The raw emotions expressed through her vocals and facial expressions help convey the stories and the vulnerability felt, from the struggles she has faced. Can't Wait Till I'm Out Of K-12, consisted of gorgeous pastel visuals with a dark twist that entailed minor gory details that allowed Melanie to fully express herself through her art without sugar-coating reality. The streams also had a special feature that allowed fans to donate to The Trevor Project, a non-profit organization that concentrates on suicide prevention efforts among LGBTQ youth.

Melanie Martinez is a genuinely remarkable artist with many talents and she has shown it once again! We are so thrilled to be a part of Melanie's journey, and hopefully, we see her carry out all of her goals for this upcoming year! We can't wait to see what new upcoming projects Melanie has in store for us!
